My sweet and creative friend Melody/Hip Momma/ Rockin' A Photography came up with the great idea of teaming up with another photo friend and collaborating your photos based on a theme. She is calling it Team Up Thursday. It would be so fun if you could find a friend and join!
Amy Craft is a friend of mine who is a terrific photographer and will get a blog soon...right Amy???? You really need to see her photos. The one thing that I always notice in her photos is that her light is amazing. I am obsessed with light! Amy and I have decided to team up and will leave a team up photo here every Thursday.
This week, Amy chose the theme of "peace". Her photo is the top one. She caught her two boys in a rare moment of peace together. I don't know about sisters, but with brothers there is hardly ever a quiet moment, so this was a great catch. See what I mean about her light? Yummy!
This is an old picture I took awhile back of my fingers on the fret board of my guitar. When I am desperate for peace, I close my door and pick up my guitar. It has the calming effect of meditation and prayer for me...it's like a drug! It took me awhile to get this shot. I had a hard time trying to hold the guitar with one hand and my heavy camera in the other hand while getting this picture in low light (hence the grain).
Anyway, if you want to see more team up photos go over to Melody's place . Check back again next week to see what Amy and I have come up with and please, feel free to leave a comment for Amy or I. Hope you can join us to play!
such a lovely depiction of peace, and how we can find it in our loved ones as well as in solitary moments. the images work together so well.

You need that guitar picture on the wall! It is definitely an art piece.

What a thoughtful theme you chose this week. I love how you both displayed peace. It means something different to everyone and you both reflected that wonderfully.

very nice. i like the softness in both photos -- that really adds to the mood and conveys the "peace" you chose. i have two boys, too, so i know how often real "peace" happens :).
