Team Up Thursday ~Song~

Our theme for this week is "song".  There was no specific direction or guidance...we just simply said "song". I love how we each took a different direction, but still took our photo in the same location (the shower).

Amy Craft took one of her sweet boys singing in the shower.  How creative!  I would have never thought of that. "One evening the kids cranked up the stereo, got in my shower and danced and sang their hearts out! :)  Perfect opportunity!"

I can imagine what a challenge this was.  I'm sure her lens was all over the place trying to focus...she had the challenge of the fog, the water droplets, the constantly moving kids...but it turned out so sweet.  What a great memory she created.

I decided to interpret a song. I had a couple of other ideas picked out, you know, emotional, deep, brooding, full of meaning.  Instead I decided to show my goofy side. The song is "White and Nerdy" by Weird Al   

Its a parody of "Ridin Dirty"

I did it because no matter how cool I think I am, I am pretty much nerdy...and I'm cool with that.

The funny thing is that I did this in my shower too. The light was great and I thought that the walls looked kinda like subway walls.  I am wearing a gold sparkly grill, but I think it looks more like yellow teeth in the photo.  I added some lens flare, but maybe too much ???

Firstly, what's a grill?
This is such a fun team-up! Kids singing in the shower haha. I remember babysitting some kids and one boy (aged 7 or 8) and his mate wanted to have a shower together. I very archly replied that showers were for one person and he replied, 'well mum and dad have showers together!'. What could I say to that? In you go boys!!! I remember there was water everywhere! As for white and nerdy.....so cool...NOT hahahahahahaha. Excellent.
I teach some African kids here in Australia and one of my faves came in late one day, all broody because he'd been stopped by the police. "I was picked up for DWB " he said. I racked my brains...DUI is driving under the influence but what was DWB???
"Driving whilst BLACK!" He announced :-)

Amy, so so so sweet. That is totally my girls only they are tubbies. And usually the singing is followed by bickering. Then me yelling, "Get out!"

Love your song interpretations! That's awesome. If I could have captured my oldest son singing in the shower when he lived at home I would have too. And you're nerdy looks is just hilarious. ;)

As for bling, I can't think of the links right now however if you're using CS3 you can look up tutorials for stars or sunspots or diamonds and that might give you some extra glitter too.
