This was easy for me! It was time to clean out my magazines. Yes, I’m addicted. I’m a hoarder. Whatever you want to call it. Sad thing is, this isn’t even all of them!
Amy
My children write me letters...all the time. I get letters that say 'good morning', 'good night', 'I love you' , and on occasion I get a letter that says "You made me very sad and ruined my life"...oh the drama. I love every single one of these letters. The most recent letter is the green one. It's from my son. That day, we had been at the doctors office for hours trying to get his asthma and allergies under control. He needed to have a few vials of blood taken...which he hates (who doesn't). He turns into a scary screaming maniac! After the trauma of the blood draw, the nurse let him pick a prize out of the special treasure chest. The treasure chest that contained the really good prizes. He picked a prize for his sister. This is very typical of my big hearted boy, but it makes me cry a little every time.
Because of his good deed, I took him to Target to buy a lego game he has been yearning for. When we arrived home from our day, he disappeared for about 45 minutes. When he returned he handed me the green letter and a bracelet he made because "...it made me sad, Mom, that you were the only one who did not get a present today." Sniff, sniff. I often wonder how God picked me to have the privilege of being the mother to these amazing children. I feel so unworthy.
Amy, I'm with you on the magazines. I've thrown out over 6 in the last 2 months and sad to say I'm not even half way through my pile!
Steph, you made me tear up ... again ... in a good way. Your babies are awfully special that is for sure. The kind of kids that other kids (and other mothers want their kids) to be around.
